In 1780, Scottish-born John Jameson founded his whiskey house in Dublin. Today Irish Distillers, part of Pernod Ricard, still makes Jameson at Midleton in the south of Ireland — a blend of light and medium-bodied whiskeys distilled three times, the traditional Irish way, for a smoothness few others match. It's become the world's best-selling Irish whiskey: poured neat, over ice, in a Ginger & Lime, or stirred into an Irish Coffee, wherever people gather.
